Residents and women's self-help group members of Tikarapada and Salepadar villages in Subarnapur district have petitioned the District Collector to relocate a foreign liquor shop situated at Tikarapada junction. The villagers complain that the shop's proximity to schools, colleges, temples, and an Anganwadi center creates an unsafe environment for women and children due to the nuisance caused by drunks. Collector Nruparaj Sahoo has promised to take action within three days.
