Punjab continues to reel under a severe heatwave with temperatures crossing 45 degrees Celsius. Faridkot was recorded as the hottest city at 45.7 degrees Celsius. While some areas like Jalandhar and Ludhiana saw light rain, the overall heat remains intense, affecting paddy sowing for farmers. The Meteorological Department has predicted a change in weather from July 1st, with winds of 40-50 km/h and scattered rainfall expected to lower temperatures by 4-5 degrees. Monsoon is also expected to arrive in the first week of July across North India. https://www.punjabitribuneonline.com/news/punjab/temperature-crosses-45-degrees-in-punjab/ #Creator program
