A high-level meeting was held in Puri between senior officials and legal advisors of Odisha and Chhattisgarh to resolve the long-standing Mahanadi river water dispute. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari and Advocate General Pitambar Acharya expressed optimism about reaching a friendly solution. Following the tribunal's advice, a ministerial committee has been formed by Odisha, and a similar committee is expected from Chhattisgarh to finalize the decision.
