A massive fire broke out at Gamdevi Market complex near Thane railway station in Maharashtra on Thursday morning. The incident claimed the lives of a firefighter and a security guard who were trying to douse the flames. Two other firefighters sustained serious burn injuries and are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. The fire, which started around 3:45 AM, destroyed several shops selling clothes, fruits, and vegetables.
