A staff nurse recruitment scam has surfaced at the Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Government Hospital in Talcher, Angul. Following a directive from the District Collector, a high-level committee was formed to verify the certificates of 285 nurses. During the verification process on June 9 and 10, 105 nurses remained absent and have stopped attending duty out of fear of action. Previously, 24 suspicious staff nurses were removed from duty.
