A tragic incident occurred at the Machhkund river near the Odisha-Andhra border. Gumadi Nagesh, a resident of Musudiput in Andhra Pradesh, drowned while trying to save his two sons (aged 7 and 10) who had accidentally fallen into the river while fishing. While the children survived, Nagesh went missing on Thursday. His body was recovered on Friday morning by local fishermen from Odisha using nets, following a request for help from the Andhra police.
