On July 6, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will flag off the Puri-Koraput Inaugural Special and the Berhampur-Udhna (Surat) Amrit Bharat Express. These new services aim to strengthen rail connectivity within Odisha and with Western India. The Puri-Koraput train will fulfill a long-standing demand for direct connectivity between the holy city and the tribal-dominated region, running three days a week.
