Uma Hazra, who was raised and educated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has achieved the title of 'Ironman' at a competition held in Florida, USA. The 40-year-old completed 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling, and a 42 km run in 16 hours, 53 minutes, and 16 seconds. An engineer and Odissi dancer, Uma currently works in the US.
