Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena laid the foundation stone for a long-awaited flyover bridge at Chatrapur in Ganjam district. The project, costing approximately 62.50 crore INR, aims to reduce accidents at the College Square and DRDA junction, which were identified as accident-prone black spots. Funded by the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund and the State Government, the construction is scheduled to be completed within 18 months. The firm awarded the contract will also handle maintenance for 10 years.
