Parallel Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand has demanded that the Central Government should apologize in the Parliament for the June 1984 Holocaust to heal Sikh sentiments. Addressing the community on Ghallughara Day, he termed June 6 as the darkest day in India's history. He accused the center of treating Sikhs as second-class citizens and attempting to suppress their identity. Mand urged the Sikh community to unite under the leadership of Akal Takht to seek the release of Bandi Singhs, punishment for sacrilege culprits, and the achievement of Khalsa Raj.
