Police in Berhampur have arrested four individuals for kidnapping an IPL betting bookie and robbing him of Rs 4 lakh. The victim, who operated a betting business in the Ankuli area, reportedly refused to pay winnings to a youth from Digapahandi and blocked his number. In retaliation, the youth created a fake female Facebook profile, befriended the bookie, and lured him to Shaktinagar. Upon arrival, the bookie was kidnapped, assaulted, and forced to transfer Rs 3 lakh via PhonePe along with Rs 1 lakh in cash.
