Researchers at IIT Bhubaneswar, led by Dr. Sayan Dey, have developed a portable and affordable arsenic detection device called 'ArsenSafe'. This handheld device uses reduced graphene oxide (rGO) sensing and machine learning to detect low levels of arsenic in drinking water without the need for complex laboratory infrastructure. The innovation, aimed at improving public health and water quality monitoring, has been recognized by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
