Ben Stokes has been stripped of the England Test captaincy and dropped from the squad following a nightclub controversy. Joe Root has been named as the interim captain for the second Test against New Zealand, starting June 17 at The Oval. Gus Atkinson was also excluded from the team due to his involvement in the same incident, while Harry Brook remains the vice-captain.
