A tragic lightning strike in Ninashpani village under Raighar block of Nabarangpur district claimed the lives of a mother and her daughter. The victims, identified as Dayamati Muduli (45) and her daughter Champa (22), were picking Kusum berries from a tree on their land when the weather suddenly changed. Lightning struck around 3 PM on Sunday, killing them on the spot. Champa was working as a Shishu Sebika in a local school.
