#Brahmin_History First Women IAF Officer Vijayalakshmi Ramanan (1924–2020) Born on 27 February 1924 in Madras, Vijayalakshmi Ramanan rose from a disciplined Brahmin household rooted in service and learning. Her father, a World War I veteran, shaped her sense of duty early. By 15, she was already an A-Grade Carnatic artist on All India Radio - proof of her talent and focus. She joined Madras Medical College and graduated in 1948 as the best outgoing student, later specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In 1955, encouraged by her husband, she stepped into history - becoming the first woman officer in the Indian Air Force. With no precedent to follow, she created her own path, even designing the first uniform for women officers. She served the nation through the wars of 1962, 1965, and 1971, treating the injured with courage and compassion. After losing her husband in 1971, she raised her children alone, balancing family and duty with quiet strength. Awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal in 1977, she retired as Wing Commander but never stopped serving - treating patients well into her 80s. Her life reflects discipline, resilience, and fearless progress. A true role model who proved that tradition and bold ambition can rise together. #Deva_Political_Party #Self_Sustaining_Families #GC_Voices #Brahmin_History #Brahmin_Political_Party #SaiSudhaDevaTrust #DevaJobPortal #SaiDevGroup #GenNextDigital
