The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) staged a massive protest in Nandapur block, Koraput, against Pattangi MLA Ramachandra Kadam. Alleging arbitrary administration, disrespect to elected representatives, and irregularities in development projects, BJD workers burnt the MLA's effigy and surrounded the block office for two hours. Former MP Jhina Hikaka and other senior leaders led the protest, warning of further action if administrative functioning doesn't improve.
