Sirsa Police arrested a former police constable, Sukhwinder Singh, who had been absconding for 18 years in connection with the 2002 murder of ASI Sube Singh. The accused had allegedly shot the ASI and thrown his body into a canal to destroy evidence. Though initially arrested, he fled after being released on parole in 2008.
