Punjab Police conducted a five-day state-wide drive starting June 2, 2026, against the illegal use of hooters, sirens, and flashers on private vehicles. During the operation, 29,324 vehicles were checked, resulting in 4,221 challans and the impounding of 48 vehicles. Authorities removed 52 hooters, 10 sirens, and 403 flashers.
