A tragic road accident occurred at Sarua Bazar on National Highway 57 in Khordha district. A woman named Jharana Mallick from Puri lost her life after a private bus hit the scooter she was riding. She had come to her daughter's house to deliver 'Raja Bhara' (festive gifts) and was heading back home when the accident happened. Following the incident, locals staged a road blockade.
