Lokayukta officials conducted massive raids on illegal sand quarries across Shimoga district, including Hosanagara, Sagara, and Bhadravathi. Led by DySP Chandrashekar, a team of 15 officers raided 25 locations, seizing 17,000 metric tonnes of sand and 52 vehicles.
