BJP leader and former IAS officer Dr. Jagmohan Singh Raju has written a letter to the Punjab CM suggesting financial incentives to curb the declining Sikh population. Citing the Andhra Pradesh government's model, he proposed 30,000 INR for the third child and 40,000 INR for the fourth child. He highlighted that the Sikh population in Punjab dropped from 62.95% in 1991 to 57.69% in 2011, urging the government to support young families financially to ensure the community's future.
