The Indian government has launched a new 7x7x7 strategy to combat anemia, replacing the older 6x6x6 model. Health Minister J.P. Nadda released revised guidelines focusing on timely testing, treatment, nutrition, and digital tracking. For the first time, underweight newborns (0-6 months) are included. The initiative moves from the T3 (Test, Treat, Talk) model to a T4 model, adding 'Track' for digital monitoring. Severe cases will receive intravenous iron (Ferric Carboxymaltose). Patient data will be integrated into the Anemia Mukt Bharat portal via Janani, RBSK, and U-WIN platforms for better regional monitoring.
