The Berhampur police have encountered the main accused Mukesh Sahu in connection with the brutal assault on a youth named Umesh Rath on Giriroad. During the confrontation at Tamana Ghati late last night, Mukesh opened fire on the police, and in retaliation, he was shot in the arm and leg.
