Protests continued for the second day in Rahon after the nomination papers of Akali Dal candidate Hemant Kumar Randev from Ward No. 13 were rejected for the Municipal Council elections. The situation became tense when a physical scuffle broke out between the Akali candidate and Congress candidate Harsh Joshi. While the Returning Officer cited an incomplete form as the reason for rejection, MLA Dr. Nachhatar Pal demanded a probe into the handling of the files.
