Farmers in Bargarh are facing severe issues as Rabi paddy procurement has slowed down significantly. While the official MSP is ₹3100 per quintal, local traders are allegedly buying it at much lower rates of ₹1600-₹1700. Consequently, farmers are forced to sell 'Akash Ganga' variety paddy to traders from Andhra Pradesh for ₹2000-₹2100.
