A notorious criminal named Jaga Sahu, alias Jagannath, was injured in a police encounter in Berhampur. The incident occurred when a police team raided Bauri Sukunda based on a tip-off. Jaga attempted to escape by hurling bombs at the police, leading to retaliatory firing in which he sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He has been admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital.
