Rayagada police have arrested 9 people, including the main accused Umesh Hial, in connection with the high-profile murder of Hadappa Nikhil. The police recovered a pistol, two four-wheelers, 12 cell phones, and ATM cards from the suspects arrested from both inside and outside the state. According to SP Swathi S. Kumar, the murder was triggered by a robbery at a gambling den.
