In Kanpur, a fresh investigation has been ordered into allegations of medical negligence after an ITBP soldier's mother had to undergo hand amputation. Constable Vikas Singh alleged that a private hospital's wrong injection led to the condition. ITBP Commandant Gaurav Prasad met the Police Commissioner and CMO to discuss the matter. CMO Dr. Haridutt Nemi agreed to re-examine specific points of the medical report after the soldier raised objections.
