An ASI and a Home Guard at Mancheswar police station in Bhubaneswar were caught red-handed by the Vigilance department while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 to return a seized mobile phone. The accused, ASI Rajesh Kulu and Home Guard Jyoti Ranjan Behera, had previously taken ₹30,000 for another phone. Based on a complaint, Vigilance laid a trap and arrested them during the transaction.
