The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for 19 states across India, including Odisha, Delhi, and Bihar. A 1,500 km long monsoon trough extending from the Bay of Bengal to Jammu and Kashmir is expected to bring intense rain and winds of 70-80 km/h until July 4th. A Red Alert has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. While the monsoon reached Delhi later than usual, active rainfall is predicted for the capital over the next five days.
