The body of Punjabi singer Inder Kaur, also known as Yashinder Kaur, was recovered from the Neelon canal in Ludhiana days after she was kidnapped at gunpoint. Her family has accused Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Moga who recently returned from Canada, of kidnapping and murdering her after she rejected his marriage proposal. The police had registered an FIR on May 15 following a complaint by the singer's brother. The main accused is reported to have fled back to Canada after the crime.
