Ten fishermen from Andhra Pradesh were rescued after being stranded in the sea near Puri. Their fishing boat, which started from Kakinada harbor, suffered engine and anchor failure, leaving them stuck 2-3 km away from the coast near Taj Hotel. Upon receiving information, the Puri SP directed a rescue operation involving Baliapanda and Pentakata Marine police.
