Raghunath Das, the headmaster of Jugarupa Government High School in Mahakalapada, Kendrapara, was caught red-handed by the Cuttack Vigilance team while accepting a bribe of ₹5,000. He allegedly demanded the money from a school uniform supplier to release a check and was also accused of seeking money from the school's night watchman for salary arrears. Previously, he faced allegations regarding misappropriation of midday meal funds.
