The Commissionerate Police conducted a late-night raid on an illegal sand mining operation near Kalyanpur on the banks of the Kuakhai River in Bhubaneswar. Under the supervision of the Zone-4 ACP, two platoons of police forces seized over 25 Hyva trucks and 3 JCB machines. While sand mafias and drivers fled the scene by locking their vehicles, the police had to break the locks and windows to seize the equipment.
