An accountant at the Umerkote Sub-Treasury office in Nabarangpur district has allegedly faced severe caste discrimination and mental harassment. Gouranga Charan Behera, belonging to the SC community, was reportedly denied a chair to sit, restricted from touching files, and barred from using the office water purifier. His son filed a complaint with the State Human Rights Commission. Following this, the commission directed the Nabarangpur District Collector to investigate and submit a report by August 10.
