Following the municipal council elections in Tapa Mandi, a case of attempted murder was registered against a winning councilor and three others after they allegedly ran over a woman with a Scorpio. The victim, Nazia Begum, wife of an independent candidate, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bathinda.
