In the Balianta Soumya Ranjan Swain murder case, the Crime Branch has obtained a personal diary belonging to the deceased. The diary, handed over by Soumya's friend Nishikant Mohanty, allegedly details mental harassment and threats from an ADG-rank IPS officer and a gym owner in Bhubaneswar. Nishikant also provided WhatsApp chat screenshots as evidence. The investigation reveals Soumya was under immense pressure and considering resigning from his job.
