The body of a B.Tech student named Varunpreet Singh was found under suspicious circumstances in a hostel room at Punjabi University, Patiala. The deceased was a resident of Ping Kang village in Tarn Taran district. The incident came to light when another student went to the room to collect his belongings and found Varunpreet unconscious. Medical teams declared him dead on arrival.
