I’m starting to realize that the best kind of love isn’t a grand production; it’s just consistency. It’s not about those "butterflies" everyone talks about—usually, that’s just anxiety disguised as romance.
Real love is actually pretty boring, and that’s the beauty of it. It’s having someone who knows exactly how you take your coffee, someone who has seen you at your absolute worst—irritable, exhausted, or failing—and doesn't stage an exit. It’s the security of knowing that if things go south tomorrow, you’re not facing it alone.
We spend so much time looking for a spark, but sparks burn out. What actually matters is the person who stays when the fire is gone and just helps you keep the house warm. No drama, no mind games, no constant need for validation. Just a solid partnership where you can finally stop pretending to be perfect.
At the end of the day, I don't want a poem. I just want someone who shows up.
