The foundation stone for the beautification and improvement of the Bargarh town canal was laid by MLA Ashwini Kumar Sarangi. In the first phase, a box conduit will be constructed on the canal at a cost of 50 crore rupees. This project was announced by the Chief Minister during Dhanu Jatra following requests from locals.
