On World Environment Day, Paradip Municipality launched a unique initiative to create a mangrove forest along the banks of the Kaudia River. In collaboration with local NGOs, thousands of saplings were planted to restore the coastal protection shield that was vital during past cyclones like the 1999 Super Cyclone.
