An allegation of widespread corruption involving 28.11 crore rupees has surfaced in the afforestation projects under Thuamul Rampur North Forest Range in Kalahandi. The funds were allegedly spent between 2020-21 and 2023-24 under CAMPA, MGNREGS, and CAPKA schemes for plantation across 2254 hectares. However, locals allege that little work was done on the ground and money was siphoned off through fake bills.
