Police in Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar district, have registered a case against a mother-son duo for allegedly defrauding two individuals of Rs 15 lakh. Hariswaran, a finance company manager, and his friend Venkatraman paid the amount to Selvakumar and his mother Kala, who promised to help them set up a profitable tea shop. After receiving the money, the duo failed to establish the shop and reportedly issued death threats when asked to return the funds.
