Despite being equipped with expensive medical machinery, the 5-story facility hasn't started serving patients, forcing many to travel to Cuttack or Bhubaneswar for emergencies. The project, intended to operate on a PPP model, is delayed due to administrative reasons. However, the district administration has stated that a central health team will visit soon, and the center is expected to become operational within 2-3 months with a dedicated staff and an annual budget of ₹1.65 crore.
