Rajnandgaon police arrested Yogeshwar Pandey for allegedly defrauding several people of ₹8.17 lakh by promising houses under the Atal Awas and Housing Board schemes. Posing as a Municipal Corporation employee, he claimed proximity to officials and politicians. He even took victims to inspect under-construction houses to gain their trust. Following a complaint by Ishnivay Singh at Basantpur police station, the accused was traced to Raipur and arrested.
