The Punjab government has declared a public holiday on May 26 in view of the upcoming Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, and Nagar Panchayat elections. According to the order issued by Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, all government offices, boards, corporations, and educational institutions of the Punjab government located in Chandigarh will remain closed.
