The Indian government is planning to launch a National Centralized Portal to simplify the process of obtaining Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections. Currently, users must apply through local private or public City Gas Distribution companies, which is time-consuming. The new portal will allow online applications and mandate gas companies to provide connections within a fixed timeframe. The initiative aims to shift users from LPG cylinders to PNG.
