The Government of India has implemented the 'Viksit Bharat- Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin)' [VB GRAMJI] Act, 2025 across the country. This historic legislation increases the legal guarantee of employment from 100 to 125 days for eligible rural households. It also mandates that the daily wage will not be less than Rs 300 anywhere in India, with the national average rising to Rs 327.4. The government has already allocated over Rs 95,692 crore to states for smooth implementation. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that this move will empower rural workers and boost sustainable development.
