Chameli Ojha, the female Sarpanch of Tikhiri Panchayat in Kendrapara, has written to Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi alleging physical assault by police and harassment by the local Mahakalapada MLA. She claimed that after refusing the MLA's improper demands, developmental funds were blocked and she was threatened with gang rape at the block office. She also alleged that police personnel assaulted her in their vehicle and snatched her phone.
