On the occasion of Ani Pournami, a 108 Thiruvalakku Puja was held at the ancient Sri Renugambal Temple in Padavedu near Polur. Special abhishekams and floral decorations were performed for the main deity in the early morning. Around 108 female devotees from surrounding villages like Arani and Kannamangalam participated in the lamp lighting ceremony.
